Kathmandu. Now, hydropower projects smaller than 10 MW will also get refinancing provided by the government. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has amended the refinancing procedure and made arrangements for refinancing of small hydropower projects smaller than 10 MW.

It is said that the working period has been revised to make additional investment according to the affected entrepreneurs as the NRB has the resources available for refinancing over one trillion.

At present, the refinancing fund is Rs. 42.50 billion. As the refinancing procedure provides for refinancing up to five times that amount, the central bank will be able to provide refinancing up to Rs. 212.50 billion.

In the revised refinancing procedure as amended by the National Bank, the licensed institution has clearly stated the type of refinancing application in addition to clearly disclosing the loan classification, loan flow date, loan repayment date and interest rate of the loan. It is mentioned that it can be given.
