The Ministry of Finance Final preparation of the budget 2078

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Finance is busy preparing the budget for the coming Fiscal Year 078/079. The Ministry of Finance has sent emails to the entrepreneurs for their opinions and suggestions on the issues to be included in the budget of the coming fiscal year.

The Ministry of Finance is preparing to include the suggestions sent by the entrepreneurs in the budget after further analysis.

Entrepreneurs in particular have been raising their voices on the issue of customs duty, reference price, double VAT (value added tax) on raw materials and finished goods. Although the government has made one level difference in the customs duty on some raw materials and finished goods, it has not been implemented in all the goods.

Although most of the work of the customs system is done through the online system, it is estimated that the work of importing goods and importing one commodity after another has not been stopped. As the government mechanism still needs to work to stop all this, Arthal has sought opinions, advice and suggestions from the entrepreneurs.

The former secretaries suggested focusing on the budget for the coming fiscal year to revive the economy, which was in a state of disarray due to the Kovid epidemic. The government is saying that the budget will be brought to promote the industry.

Similarly, the Ministry of Finance has formed a budget writing committee under the coordination of Joint Secretary Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire. Joint secretaries Rameshwar Dangal, Shrikrishna Nepal, Dhaniram Sharma and Suman Dahal are in the budget writing committee headed by Artha Ghimire. The Ministry of Finance is preparing to address the appropriate suggestions and problems sent by the industrialists and business houses to the committee.

The government is saying that it will protect those who create employment by increasing production within the country rather than importing and selling goods. In the current year's budget, the private sector had high expectations for relief and rehabilitation, but the budget disappointed them. It is understood that the government will take initiative to make special arrangements for such entrepreneurs in the forthcoming budget. The constitution itself has made it compulsory to bring the budget on May 30 every year.
