Himalayan Bank's 'One House, One Bank Account' campaign completed in Khaptad Chhededaha of Bajura

Bajura. Bajura's Khaptad Chhededaha village municipality has been declared the first village municipality in the country to complete the 'One House: One Bank Account' campaign. The campaign has been completed in collaboration with Chhededaha branch of Himalayan Bank Limited.

Krishna Raj Joshi, chief administrative officer of the village municipality, said that more than one bank account has been opened for all the families with 3234 households in the municipality. The bank has opened 9,476 accounts in the village municipality with a population of 22,135 in a period of one year, said Minendra Pradhan, chief operating officer of the bank. Himalayan Bank is the first to open such an account.

Nara Bahadur Rawat, chairman of the village municipality, informed that the municipality has launched a campaign through Himalayan Bank with the slogan of increasing savings through bank account for balanced economic activities and self-reliance.

Meanwhile, the bank has distributed educational materials to the school level children of the same village under social responsibility.
