Kathmandu, April 4: The Nepse index has set a new record on Sunday . Today, the Nepse Pasurichak increased by 25.71 points and stopped at 2657.61 points. It had set a new record by reaching 2640 points on March 25.
Shares worth Rs 8.77 billion have been traded. A total of 17.37 million shares of 212 companies have been bought and sold.
The highest priced stock was traded by Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA). Shares of the bank worth Rs 468.1 million have been bought and sold. Nifra's share price has stood at Rs 581.
Of the 13 groups traded, the index of five groups has decreased while the index of the remaining groups has increased. The industry group has the highest decline in the index. The group's index fell 4.39 percent. Similarly, the highest indicator growth has been in the non-life insurance group. The group's index rose 3.97 percent.
