Black fungus epidemic declared in 15 states of India, Black fungus found  in Nepal Also

Kathmandu,  Coronary artery mucomycosis, or black fungus, is spreading dangerously. A total of 9,320 cases of black fungus have been found in 15 states of India including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. 235 people have been killed.

The highest number of 5,000 patients has been found in Gujarat. Some patients have had their eyes removed because of this infection. The state of Haryana was the first to declare an epidemic of black fungus. Since then, epidemics have been declared in Rajasthan and now in 15 states. Outbreaks have been reported in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

Experts suggest controlling diabetes to prevent blackfungus. The president of Medanta Hospital, Dr. Nareshtrehalenak, has advised immediate treatment for pain, swollen cheeks, mouth infections, swollen eyelids, eye pain, dim eyesight and swelling of any part of the face. According to him, in order to control black fungus, steroids should be used properly and diabetes should be controlled.

Infected people of this disease have been found in Birgunj of Nepal recently. So far, five people have been found infected with black fungus at Narayani Hospital here. Niraj Kumar Singh has stated. He said that the stakeholders should immediately pay attention to this as its medicine is not available in Nepal.
