Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has decided to tighten its operations in three districts of the Kathmandu Valley. According to NRB spokesperson Dev Kumar Dhakal, commercial banks will be allowed to open only the head office and three branches in Kathmandu district on a daily basis. Similarly, only two branches will be opened in Lalitpur and one in Bhaktapur.
Similarly, development banks will be allowed to open only 2 branches in Kathmandu and 11 branches in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur besides the central office. Apart from the head office, the finance companies will be allowed to open only one branch in all the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley.
