Covid infection rate decreased by 5.7 percent  in Nepal

Kathmandu. Corona infection rate in Nepal has decreased by 5.7 percent. The information was given at a regular press conference organized by the Ministry of Health and Population.

According to the ministry, the infection rate in Bagmati has declined by 16.31 percent, Gandaki by 10.87 percent and Lumbini by 19.1 percent. Province No. 2 has the highest rate of infection. In Province No. 2, infection has increased at a rate of 105.1 percent. In Province No. 1, the infection rate has increased by 26.8 percent, Karnali by 29.1 percent and Far Western Province by 9.6 percent.

Similarly, the infection rate has spread widely in 50 districts, said Shrestha. 27.8 people per million population are infected daily. She said that the daily infection rate was 131.7 per million population in September last year and this time it was 307.6 in May. The rate of infection infection has also increased by a second wave this year compared to last year. Last year it was 25.2 percent and this year it is 46.7 percent.

Of those infected, 1.31 percent died this year and 0.75 percent last year.
