According to the NRB, the net profit of 11 commercial banks has decreased till mid-April this year as compared to mid-July last year. Century Bank was the biggest loser at 51.78 percent and Nepal Bank was the lowest at 6.29 percent.
Century Bank had earned a net profit of Rs 906.3 million till mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 51.78 percent to Rs. 437 million.
Himalayan Bank had earned a net profit of Rs 2.54 billion as of mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 44.78 percent to Rs 1.40 billion.
Standard Chartered Bank had earned a net profit of Rs 1.98 billion as of mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 31.54 percent to Rs 1.35 billion.
Everest Bank had earned a net profit of Rs 2.49 billion as of mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 31.08 percent to Rs 1.72 billion.
The Agriculture Development Bank had earned a net profit of Rs 3.46 billion till mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 31.01 percent to Rs 2.39 billion.
Rastriya Banijya Bank had earned a net profit of Rs 4.45 billion till mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 26.53 percent to Rs 3.27 billion.
Bank of Kathmandu had earned a net profit of Rs 1.51 billion as of mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 22.63 percent and reached Rs. 1.16 billion.
Sunrise Bank had earned a net profit of Rs 1.39 billion in mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 7.72 percent and reached Rs. 1.28 billion.
Lakshmi Bank had earned a net profit of Rs 1.48 billion up to mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 6.89 percent and reached Rs. 1.38 billion.
Nepal Bank had earned a net profit of Rs 2.55 billion as of mid-July last year. By mid-April of the current fiscal year, it has decreased by 6.29 percent and reached Rs. 2.39 billion.
