According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank for the first ten months of the current fiscal year, remittances against the US dollar also increased by 16.1 percent to Rs 6.87 billion.

Similarly, despite the increase in remittances, the number of new labor permits and re-labor permits has decreased. The number of Nepalis seeking final labor approval (institutional and individual-new and legalized) for foreign employment has decreased by 60.3 percent. Such number in the corresponding period of the previous year It had decreased by 2.7 percent.

Similarly, the number of Nepalis seeking re-employment for foreign employment decreased by 49.0 percent during the review period. Such number had decreased by 24.6 percent in the corresponding period of the previous year.

According to the data, net transfer increased by 17.2 percent to Rs. 903.77 billion during the review period. Such transfers had decreased by 6.9 percent in the corresponding period of the previous year.
