Kathmandu. This is the 16th edition of the European Championship, known as the Euro-cup 2020 Mini World Cup. In which a total of 24 teams are competing. Only 9 teams are the former winners. So far 10 teams have won the title but only Greece could not be selected this time. That is why this time Euro Cup can be competitive.

This time the competition is being held in 11 countries on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Euro Cup. The opening match will be between Italy and Turkey in Rome and the final will be played on July 11 at Wembley in London.

Belgium and England, who have yet to win the Euro Cup despite claiming the title, are also playing this time.

About one-third of the 24 participants are contenders for the title. Former champions Portugal, world champions and former runners-up France, three-time champions Germany and Spain, and top-ranked Belgium are the main contenders. England, one-time winners Italy and the Netherlands are also contenders for the title.

Former champions Denmark, Russia and the Czech Republic are not considered title contenders. Although Denmark and the Netherlands could not be selected in 2016, they have returned this time.

In addition, Croatia, which had an unexpected advantage when France won the World Cup in 2018, could also draw another unexpected result.

As Portugal, France and Germany are in the same group, the journey of a former winner may end from the group stage. However, since the top two teams of all the six teams will reach the pre-quarterfinals, all the three teams can reach the knockout stage. For that, the result of all 6 teams and the result of other groups will be decisive.
