Kathmandu. Financial sector employees have filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against the Social Security Fund. Financial sector employees have filed a writ petition on Sunday expressing disagreement with some points in the Fund Act.
The case was filed in the Supreme Court last Wednesday in coordination with the Financial Sector Employees Union and various other trade unions. The court remanded him in custody for 24 hours and registered him on Sunday.
The fund has asked all the employers in the organized sector to join and start contributing by mid-July. The financial sector employees have filed a writ petition at the apex court alleging that the fund has shown various kinds of fear and intimidation to include everyone in the given ultimatum.
Cases have been registered demanding that the facilities provided by the working organization should not be reduced, the fund should be voluntary instead of mandatory, double taxation, insurance, civil servants and discrimination in the private sector should be removed.
Lately, the employees of the banks and financial sector have been agitating for the membership of the fund by displaying the problems faced by the employees of the financial sector under black banners.
