Kathmandu. Discussions on a merger between Bank of Kathmandu (BOK) and Global IME Bank have intensified.

According to a Bank of Kathmandu operator, informal discussions have taken place between the directors and responsible officials of both the banks. According to a source, the discussion has almost concluded about the merger process and the technical issues required for it.

However, Bank of Kathmandu is also in discussions with Mega Bank, Sunrise Bank and Siddhartha Bank for merger. The management of the concerned banks have admitted that the issue of merging between these banks has been discussed many times.
