Kathmandu. Chairman of Civil Bank Ichchha Raj Tamang has been arrested. He was arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.
Tamang has been arrested on the charge of embezzling the money kept by the depositors in the Civil Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited. According to the CIB, Tamang has been arrested after receiving complaints of fraud and embezzlement of more than Rs 440 million so far.
The CIB informed that the depositors had lodged a complaint against them in the bureau. He has received a petition for fraud of Rs 460 million, CIV chief Dhiraj Pratap Singh informed about the details.
