Kathmandu. Nepal's constitution has ensured 33 percent place for women in every field. The Companies Act has also made it mandatory for a public company to have one female operator. According to the same arrangement, most of the public companies have one woman director in the board of directors.

However, some public companies have not yet implemented the provisions of the Constitution and the Companies Act.

27 Commercial banks in operation, five do not have women operators. All the 27 commercial banks have a total of 174 operators including men and women. Out of which only 13 percent or 24 are women operators.

Laxmi Bank and Standard Chartered Bank have two women directors. Standard Chartered Bank has 5 operators. They are chaired by Jerin Daruwala and moderated by Karin de Alves. Bank of Kathmandu also has Amrita Upreti as the promoter and Mohana Lohani as the independent director. The bank has a total of seven operators.

Mina Kumari Sainju is the manager of Siddhartha Bank. Nabil Bank has a total of seven directors. In which Asha Rana Adhikari is an independent operator. Dr. Century Bank is also an independent operator. The Gita is predominant. Romila Dhakal Upreti is the director of Rastriya Banijya Bank. Dr. is an independent operator in Prime Bank. Mangala is the best. The bank has a total of eight operators.

Gayatri Thapa is the female director of Sanima Bank. Sunrise Bank has appointed Sarada Sharma as its female operator. Shivadevi Kafle is an independent director out of a total of six directors in Mega Bank. In addition, NCC Bank has a total of seven directors. In which Suman Kumari Joshi is the female operator. Also, on behalf of the promoter in Nepal Bangladesh Bank, Cameron Nahar Ahmed is the woman operator

Similarly, Sirjana Karki Bhattarai of Machhapuchhre Bank, Urmila Shrestha of Everest Bank, Sita Karki KC of Citizens Bank, Anju Adhikari of Prabhu Bank and Anuradha Chaudhary of Kumari Bank are the six women directors of Machhapuchhre Bank, seven of Everest Bank and seven of Citizens Bank. There are 6 directors in the bank and 5 in Kumari Bank. Suman Kumari Joshi is on the board of directors of NCC Bank.

Similarly, Vimala Subedi is an independent director in Nepal SBI Bank. Indira Shrestha Maskey is an independent director in the Agriculture Development Bank. Nepal Investment Bank has a total of seven directors. In which Manju Basnet is an independent operator. Savitri Ranjit Shrestha is the woman manager of Nepal Bank on behalf of the government.
