Special general convention of Nabil Bank Employees Union concluded

Kathmandu. Special general convention of Nabil Bank Employees Union has been concluded. The special general convention has passed the proposed legislation.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Nabil Bank Anil Keshari Shah said that the bank aims to take the development of entrepreneurship and financial access to the villages through sustainable banking. He mentioned that Nabil Bank has been honored by the Inland Revenue Department for collecting the highest corporate tax among banks and financial institutions.

The program was chaired by Sabin Bhattarai, President of Nabil Bank Employees Union and was attended by union officials and representatives of various banks and financial institutions. The participants of the program suggested to promote financial literacy along with financial access and lauded the union for playing a strong role in the movement against social security fund.

The bank had paid Rs 1.67 billion in taxes to the government of Nepal in the last fiscal year. Nepal's leading private sector bank Nabil has so far paid Rs 16.12 billion in taxes to the state. The employees' union of the bank has the membership of the employees in the branches and sub-branches of the bank.
