Kathmandu. Citizens Bank International Limited has expanded its free banking services. In this context, the Bank has started the 87th branchless banking service in Balwa Municipality, Padaul of Mahottari District from December 8 this year. Local businessman Saroj Kumar Sah has been appointed as the business representative to operate the service in that place.
This branchless banking aims to provide deposit collection, payment, fund transfer, mobile phone bill payment, payment of utility services and other services provided by the bank. The bank expects that this service will spread significant trust towards banks and banking civilization in rural areas.
Citizens Bank International Limited operates its 174 branches and 123 ATMs across the country. And it has been providing modern banking services to about 1.28 million customers from 87 branchless banking units.
