Kathmandu. 10 finance companies have made public their financial statements till mid-December. According to the financial statements, 10 finance companies have earned a profit of around Rs 550 million during this period.
These companies have earned a profit of Rs 547.82 million in the second quarter of the current fiscal year.
Only one company out of 10 has increased its profit. Goodwill Finance rose 42.71 percent. The company has earned a profit of Rs 79.19 million. The company had earned a profit of Rs 55.49 million in the second quarter of last year.
Best Finance has earned the highest profit during this period. Best Finance, which was at a loss in the same period last year, has made a profit of Rs 142.9 million in the second quarter of the current fiscal year.
Similarly, Nepal Finance has earned a profit of Rs 33.294 million. Nepal Finance had a loss of Rs 3.9 million in the same period last year. Profits of seven finance companies, which were in profit during the same period last year, have declined. Profits of Guheshwari Merchant, Shree Investment, ICFC Finance, Manjushree Finance, Samridhi Finance, Pokhara Finance and Gurkhaj Finance declined.
Gurkhaj Finance has earned a profit of Rs. 16.57 million in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. This is a decrease of 74.85 percent compared to the same period last year. Gurkhaj had earned a profit of Rs 65.89 million in the same period last year.
Similarly, Pokhara Finance, Samridhi Finance, Manjushree Finance and ICFC Finance have been affected by the decline in profits after Gurkhaj Finance.
Pokhara Finance's profit fell 69.43 percent to Rs 29.6 million. The company had earned a net profit of Rs 968 crore in the same period last year. Samridhi Finance's profit fell 63.95 percent, Manjushree Finance's 33.52 percent and ICFC Finance's 24.41 percent. Guheshwari Merchant Finance's profit fell 17.47 percent.
