Kathmandu. The Insurance Committee has decided to take action against Nepal Life Insurance. The Insurance Committee has decided to impose a fine of Rs 10,000 on Nepal Life Insurance as an action.

After receiving a complaint from the Insurance Committee that a qualified person has been appointed as Assistant General Manager in accordance with the Good Governance Directive 2075 issued by the Insurance Committee. It has been moved forward.

Spokesperson of the Insurance Committee Rajuraman Poudel said that the appointment of Amit Kumar Kayal as Assistant General Manager was a deliberate violation of the directive issued by the committee.

Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance Co., contrary to the provision in sub-section (9) of section 14 of the Institutional Good Governance Directive 2075 issued by the Insurance Committee that a director who is a coordinator in one committee and sub-committee cannot be a coordinator in another committee or sub-committee.
