Kathmandu. The use and transaction of cryptocurrency has been increasing globally in the last decade. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that it has received information that Nepalis at home and abroad are also involved in its business or related investments.

According to the NRB, the issue of pyramid-based networking marketing business operating in Nepal from abroad has also come up in various media. The temptation to get high returns in the short term is when using cryptocurrency, its associated investments and engaging in the networking marketing business will have a high risk of drowning your investment.

Similarly, the bank has been publishing information from time to time urging Nepalis living at home and abroad not to get involved in such transactions and business as legal hassles may arise.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that investments related to cryptocurrency are being used to make black money white. NRB said this while releasing cryptocurrency public awareness information on Tuesday.
