Kathmandu. Himalayan General Insurance Company has appointed Vijay Bahadur Shah as its new Chief Executive Officer. He has assumed his charge from the 1st of February, 2078 BS. Sushil Bajracharya, who has been with Himalayan General Insurance for 28 years, had been the chief executive officer for 6.5 years.

During his tenure, the company was able to lay a strong foundation for the future by strengthening its business image by providing transparent services to non-life insurance customers. Before joining Himalayan General Insurance, Vijay Shah was a member of Nepal Insurance Company Limited. He gave a leading role in the company for 4 years and gave a positive image to the company.

Mahendra Krishna Shrestha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Himalayan General Insurance, said, “He has good experience and understanding in the insurance sector. During his tenure, he will make a significant contribution to the development of the industry by providing maximum services to the non-life insurance customers as per the target of the Government of Nepal. The Board of Directors is confident that he will play a significant role in the growth of the company's business in the non-life insurance sector and will upgrade the entire insurance sector.
