Kathmandu. About Rs 6.5 billion has been disbursed through QR codes of 24 commercial banks in January. According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the QR code of 24 commercial banks has been transacted 1.244 million times in January.

Among the commercial banks, most of the transaction payments have been made through Nabil Bank's QR code. A total of Rs 988.56 million has been paid through the QR code of Nabil Bank, which was 143,506 transactions in January.

NIC Asia Bank is seen as the second bank to pay more through QR code. A total of Rs 788.81 million has been paid through NIC Asia Bank's QR code, which is one lakh 78 thousand 767 times in January.

Similarly, Global IME Bank is the third highest paid bank. According to the NRB data, a total of Rs.
