Kathmandu. The government has suspended NRB Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari. According to a Finance Ministry source, Deputy Governor Neelam Dhungana has been given the charge. An unofficial team of ministers was formed to study the governor as there were serious allegations of leaking information on instructions given by the finance ministry to stop the import of luxury goods.

The team includes Home Minister Bal Krishna Khan, Finance Minister Janadarna Sharma, Communications Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Energy Minister Pampha Bhusal, Health Minister Virodh Khatiwada and Federal Affairs Minister Rajendra Shrestha.
