10 billion promoter shares in 99 companies of 27 commercial banks of Nepal

Kathmandu. Commercial banks have increased their investments in various companies. Along with Core Banking, commercial banks have increased their investments in insurance, microfinance and merchant banks as promoter shares. According to the annual report of the banks for the last fiscal year 2077/07, 27 commercial banks have invested Rs. 10.55 billion 37.55 million in 99 different companies.

Of the 27 commercial banks, the largest investor is Global IME Bank. Global IME Bank has invested in 13 companies while Nepal Bank has also invested in 12 different companies.

Himalayan Bank has invested a total of Rs 1.76 billion in six companies. Which is the most. Similarly, NIC Asia Bank has invested Rs 1.26 billion in three companies as promoter shares. All that the banks have done is promoter shares. The investment in ordinary shares is not mentioned in it.
