Kathmandu. Recently, the number of blacklisted cooperatives has been increasing. According to the Credit Information Center, four cooperatives have been blacklisted in nine days. The Credit Information Center blacklists individuals and entities who have taken loans from banks and financial institutions for various business purposes and are unable to repay their loans on time. Cooperatives have been blacklisted due to non-payment of loans taken from various banks and financial institutions, National Cooperative Bank and other bodies.

According to the Credit Information Center, one of the blacklisted cooperatives is a multi-purpose, agricultural and savings and credit cooperative. Among the cooperatives blacklisted during this period are Chandani Multipurpose Cooperative, Jeevan Sundar Agricultural Cooperative, Tirimiri Savings and Loan Cooperative and Smriti Savings and Loan Cooperative. Among the blacklisted cooperatives, Rabindra Adhikari and Uddhav Adhikari are the operators of Chandani Multipurpose Cooperative. Similarly, Bhuvan Kumar Sinjali and Upendra Magar are the directors of Jeevan Sundar Agricultural Cooperative.

Similarly, Bishnu Sharma and Devendra Shrestha are the directors of Smriti Savings and Loan Cooperative. Anju Shrestha, Indra Basnet, Keshav Adhikari, Loknath Dallakoti, Madhav Kumar Sigdel, Prakash Bhatt and Suman Kumar Shrestha are the directors of Tirimiri Savings and Loan Cooperative.
