Kathmandu. The 33rd anniversary program of Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) Employees Association of Nepal has been completed among various programs. CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel inaugurated the main program of the 33rd annual festival in the midst of a ceremony. On that occasion, General Secretary Pokharel said that trade unions should play a role in strengthening the rights and interests of employees and working organizations.
In the program held under the chairmanship of National Commercial Bank Employees Association Nepal President Ram Prasad Joshi, President Joshi said that the management should address the reasonable demands of the employees. Baburam Thapa, President of Professional Federation of Nepal and Central Member of CPN-UML, said that all professionals should be united for their rights and interests.
In the event, Chairman of CPN UML Valley Special Province Committee Prem Kumar Parajuli, Chairman of National Committee of Bank, Insurance and Financial Sector Employees Association of Nepal Dharmaraj Mainali, Chairman of Bank Board of Directors Dr. Balram Pathak, Chief Executive Officer Kiran Kumar Shrestha, Outgoing Chairman of Employees Association of Nepal Hemraj Subedi, Ishwar Bahadur Singh, President of Nepal Financial Institutions Employees Association Rawa Bank, Dipendra Karki, President of Nepal National Employees Organization Rawa Bank, gave congratulatory remarks.
In the program, topics related to professional rights, interests and the promotion of organizations were widely discussed. Vice President Badri Prasad Timilsana gave a welcome speech at the event, which was moderated by Lakshmi Prasad Pandey, General Secretary of Employees Union of Nepal.
Former presidents of the association, presidents of trade unions of various establishment levels, deputy chief executive officers of the bank, deputy executive officers, department heads, branch managers, union officials and other employees were present in the program. 27 retired bank employees who are members of the employees' association were awarded life member medals of the association. 11 thousand 111 rupees has been given financial support to Ghokechaur Udyan located in Banepa-5.
