Kathmandu. Laxmi Bank has improved its profit in the fourth quarter. The bank has earned a net profit of 1.6 billion 35 lakh rupees in the unadjusted financial statement up to the fourth quarter of the last financial year. The bank increased its profit by 1.76 percent during this period. In the same period of the previous financial year, the bank had earned a net profit of 1.57 billion rupees.

The bank's net interest income has increased by 18.27 percent, fee and commission income by 8.55 percent, total operating income by 8.17 percent, and operating profit by 2.17 percent. Earnings per share of the bank have declined modestly. Such income of the bank has decreased by 85 paisa to 13 rupees 88 paisa. During that period, the bank's price-earnings ratio was 14.33 times.
