Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank announced the monetary policy for the financial year 2079-080 and abolished the policy limit of 40 million in share securities. Mahaprasad Adhikari, the Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, canceled the single loan limit and set a limit of 120 million.
"Rashtra Bank has made an arrangement to set a maximum limit of Rs.120 million so that a single customer limit of margin loans can be taken from one or all licensed financial institutions," Governor Adhikari said. After becoming regular and systematic through the stock broker, such margin loan arrangement will be removed.
However, the risk weight of loans flowing into share securities is 100 percent for loans up to Rs. 25 lakh and 150 percent for loans above that, said the governor official.
