26 billion deposits in commercial banks of Nepal, Liquidity Raised

Kathmandu. As the great festival of Nepali Dashain is approaching, the flow of money in banking channels has also increased. Deposits of 26 billion rupees have been added in commercial banks during one week. This is for the period from August 31st to October 7th.

According to the data of Nepal Bankers Association, there were deposits of 44 trillion 86 billion rupees in commercial banks till 31st of August last year. The deposit increased to 45 trillion 12 billion rupees by the 7th of October.

Similarly, the lending of banks has also increased during this period. Until 31st of August last year, commercial banks had provided loans of 41 trillion 90 billion rupees. According to the statistics of the association, the loan flow increased by 4 billion rupees and reached 41 trillion 94 billion rupees by the 7th of October.
