5 Commercial Bank declared Dividend

Kathmandu. 5 different banks have proposed to distribute dividends to the shareholders from the profits of the last financial year. Although they proposed to distribute dividends a little later than last year, only 5 banks have proposed to distribute dividends so far.

Kumari Bank, Citizens Bank, Bank of Kathmandu, NCC Bank and Nepal Infrastructure Bank (NIFRA) have proposed to distribute dividends to the shareholders from the profit of the last financial year.

Kumari Bank has proposed to distribute 12.50 percent cash dividend to the shareholders. The meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on October 14 proposed to distribute the dividend. The bank has proposed to distribute cash dividend of 12.50 percent of the paid-up capital from the profit of the financial year 2078/079. The bank will not distribute bonus shares. Currently, the paid up capital of the bank is 14.71 billion rupees.

Similarly, Citizens Bank has proposed to distribute 9 percent dividend to the shareholders of the paid up capital from the profit of the last financial year 2078/079. The meeting of the board of directors held on October 6 of the bank has proposed to distribute a cash dividend equal to 9 percent i.e. 1 billion 278 million 87 thousand rupees to the shareholders. The current paid-up capital of the bank is 14 billion 20 million 974 thousand rupees.

Similarly, Nifra Bank has decided to distribute cash dividends to shareholders. The bank has proposed to distribute 4.2105 percent cash dividend to the shareholders from the profit of the financial year 2078/2079. The meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on October 6 has proposed to distribute the cash dividend of that amount including tax. Currently, the company's paid-up capital is 21.6 billion rupees. All these three banks have also received approval from Nepal Rastra Bank for dividend distribution.

Similarly, NCC Bank and Bank of Kathmandu have also applied to Nepal Rastra Bank with a proposal to distribute dividends. It will be distributed to the shareholders after approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and passed by the next annual general meeting of the bank.

Bank of Kathmandu has proposed to give 20.95 percent dividend to the shareholders. The meeting of the bank's board of directors held on October 30 proposed to distribute 14.95 percent cash and 6 percent bonus shares to the shareholders from the profit of the financial year 2078/2079. Similarly, NCC Bank has proposed to give 3.36 percent bonus and 7.63 percent in cash from the profit of the financial year 2078/079 to give a total of 10.99 percent profit.
