Dividend declaration capacity of 11 commercial banks of Nepal

Kathmandu . 11 commercial banks are going to declare dividends . These banks are preparing to declare dividends to their shareholders from last fiscal year's profits. We have tried to calculate the number of dividends which banks can give this year based on the fourth quarter financial statements of last year. However, any company distributes a portion of its profits to its shareholders as dividends. The rest is kept for reinvestment in the business.

Although some banks have the ability to give more dividends, they give less dividends to the shareholders. The rest will focus on business expansion by themselves. However, some banks distribute dividends even after reaching the maximum point of their capacity.

Nabil Bank : Nabil Bank is also the preferred bank of investors. The bank has been distributing attractive dividends for investors. It is seen that the bank will distribute high returns to its shareholders this year. According to the fourth quarter financial statement of the bank last year, it has the ability to distribute 39.94 percent dividend this year. The distributable profit of the bank in the fourth quarter of last year was 9.12 billion 1 lakh rupees. The paid up capital of the bank is 22 billion 83 crore 29 lakh 9 thousand rupees. Based on which, the bank has the ability to give that dividend.

NIC Asia Bank: From last year's profit, NIC Asia Bank has the ability to give 33.26 percent dividend to its shareholders. According to the fourth quarter financial statement of last year, the bank will be able to give the said dividend. According to the fourth quarter financial statement of the last year, the paid-up capital of the bank is 11.56 billion 45.000 rupees, while the distributable profit of the bank is 2.24 billion 64.38 thousand rupees. Based on this, the bank has the ability to give maximum 33.26 percent dividend to its shareholders for this year.

Agricultural Development Bank: Krishi Bikas Bank has the ability to give 29.63 percent dividend to its shareholders this year. According to the fourth quarter financial statement of last year, the paid-up capital of the bank is 13 billion 1879 million 15 thousand rupees. On the other hand, the distributable profit of the bank is 3 billion 90 million 69 lakh 90 thousand rupees. Based on this, the bank has the ability to give that dividend.

Nepal Bank:  Nepal Bank has the ability to distribute 24.74 percent dividend from last year's profit. The fourth financial statement of the bank last year showed this. During the same period last year, the bank's paid-up capital was 14 billion 40 million 59 million 4 thousand rupees, distributable profit was also 1 billion 54 million 66 million 84 thousand rupees. Based on the paid-up capital and distributable profit, the bank has the ability to give 24.74 percent dividend to its shareholders this year.

Himalayan Bank: Himalayan Bank has the ability to give 20.62 percent dividend for this year. According to the fourth quarter financial statement of last year, the bank's paid-up capital is 12 billion 96 million 87 million 25 thousand rupees and distributable profit is 2 billion 66 million 15 million 92 thousand rupees. Based on this, it is seen that the bank can give the dividend.

Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) : RBB Bank has the ability to give 20.30 percent dividend from last year's profit. The bank's ability to pay dividends based on its paid-up capital and distributable profit has been seen. According to the financial statements of the fourth quarter of last year, the paid-up capital of the bank is 14.94 billion 359 thousand rupees and the distributable profit is 3.3 billion 23 million 73 thousand rupees. Based on which, the bank has the ability to distribute the dividend.

Machhapuche Bank : Machhapuchhe Bank has made the ability to give 12.95 percent dividend. Based on the fourth quarter financial report of last year, the bank has the ability to distribute the dividend for this year. In the fourth quarter of last year, the paid-up capital of the bank was 10.25 billion 71.55 thousand rupees and the distributable profit was 1.32 billion 84.5 thousand rupees.

Prime Commercial Bank: Prime Commercial Bank can give 12.58 percent dividend to its shareholders for this year. It has the ability to distribute the dividend based on the fourth quarter financial report of last year. Last year, the bank's paid-up capital was 18 billion 65 crore 63 lakh 22 thousand rupees and distributable profit was 2 billion 34 crore 64 lakh 4 thousand rupees.

Civil Bank: For this year, Civil Bank can give 11.09 percent dividend. Based on the fourth quarter financial statement of last year, the bank has the ability to pay the dividend to its shareholders. According to the financial report of the last year, the paid-up capital of the bank is 9.7 billion 58 lakh 44 thousand rupees and the distributable profit is 1.63 lakh 9 thousand rupees. On the same basis, the bank can give 11.09 percent dividend to the shareholders.

Laxmi Bank: This year, Laxmi Bank has the ability to give 10.87 percent dividend. The bank will be able to distribute the dividend to its shareholders from last year's profit. Because according to the fourth quarter financial statement of the last year, the paid-up capital of the bank is 11 billion 55 million 13 million 45 thousand rupees and the distributable profit is 1 billion 25 million 52 million 1 thousand rupees. Based on this, the bank can give the dividend.

Sunrise Bank: The Sunrise Bank has the ability to give 2.53 percent dividend. The ability of the bank to give dividends is the least among commercial banks. The paid up capital of the bank is 10 billion 11 crore 88 lakh 92 thousand rupees and distributable profit is 25 crore 61 lakh 16 thousand rupees. Based on this, the bank can give the dividend.
