Himalayan Bank supported to Municipal Financial Literacy program on Madi Municipality and  Pakhriwas Municipality

Kathmandu. Himalayan Bank Limited has successfully completed the Financial Literacy Program in Madi Municipality on 23rd November and Pakhriwas Municipality on 24th November under Corporate Social Responsibility. The financial literacy program was jointly organized by the bank's Province 1 office in Wiratnagar, Madi branch and Hille branch.

In this program of the bank, there were around 70 people enthusiastically present including presidents and members of various wards, representatives of political parties, teachers of schools, heads of education branches, businessmen, students and women.

From the program, the participants were taught the importance of banking, financial literacy, preparing personal and family budgets for financial arrangements, improving saving habits, subsidized loans and subsidies that can be obtained, hundi and its negative effects, clean note policy and saving notes. He has given detailed knowledge on subjects like methods, etc.


In the program organized by the bank in Madi Municipality, the Mayor of Madi Municipality Mr. Jeevan Kumar Lingthep was the chief guest and the Mayor of Pakhriwas Municipality Mr. Gyan Bahadur Gurung was the chief guest. Similarly, Mr. Amrit Malla, the State Head of Province 1, and other employees were present on behalf of the bank.
