Kathmandu. Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions (CBFIN) has been honored with Prabal Janaseva Shri Manpadavi. In appreciation of the policy suggestions put forward by CBIFIN, the role played and the contribution made for the economic upliftment of the entire nation and the improvement and development of the banking sector, the association has been awarded with the "CBFIN Prabal Janasewashree Award".
The honor was announced on the occasion of Constitution Day 079 and was awarded through a beautification ceremony held at the office of the President on New Year i.e. 1st Baisakh 2080. Senior Vice President Bhoj Bahadur Shah accepted the award on behalf of CBIFINCO.
Expressing happiness on the occasion of receiving the honorary degree, which was given for the first time institutionally, the association expressed its gratitude to the Government of Nepal and the office of the President. Similarly, the association has also expressed its gratitude to the past and present officers, executive members and all the member banks and financial institutions of CIBIFIN working committee who contributed very significantly in obtaining the title.
The association has been working to protect and promote the rights and interests of investors and depositors of banks and financial institutions, to expand quality and reliable banking services through mutual healthy competition, and to cooperate with all concerned parties for the proper resolution of problems in the banking sector.
In addition to this, CBFIN has been working continuously since its inception with the objective of conducting studies and research for the improvement and upgrading of the financial sector, mutual cooperation and exchange of assistance between the concerned parties and building a strong, capable and self-sufficient economy through sustainable economic development. In addition to this, the association also said that the honorary degree received has added more duties and responsibilities.
