Kathmandu. Prabhu Bank has earned 5.5 billion rupees in the fourth quarter of the last financial year. According to bank sources, the bank has earned a net profit of 5.4 billion rupees till last June.
However, the profit will be reduced in the financial statements released by the bank. According to sources, from the profit earned by the bank, provision, operating expenses, employee bonus, taxes and other amounts are yet to be allocated. Sources say that if that amount is allocated, the bank's net profit will increase to around 3 billion.
Bank sources claim that the bank's bad loans will decrease by last June. According to him, bad loans will come down to around 3 percent. By the end of March, the bank's bad loans were 3.48 percent, while it was 2.79 percent in the same period last year.
During the review period, the bank collected deposits of 2 trillion 96 billion rupees and invested 2 trillion 41 billion rupees. In the same period of the previous year, the bank (including former Century Bank) collected deposits of 2 trillion 76 billion rupees and disbursed loans of 2 trillion 33 billion rupees.
