Why Sachin Jung Raimajhi resigned from Himalayan Bank ?

Kathmandu. Less than 5 months after Civil Bank merged with Himalayan Bank, Assistant Chief Executive Officer Sachinjung Rayamajhi has left the bank. Bank sources said that Rayamazhi resigned from Himalayan Bank a month ago. Only Rayamazhi, who was the CEO of Civil Bank, was associated with Himalayan Bank at the time of the merger.

Sunil Pokharel, the then CEO of Civil Bank, took VRS before the bank merger. Although Rayamazhi said that he left Himalayan Bank to gain international banking experience, it is understood that there is no working environment for civil servants from Himalayan in the bank.

Due to Himalayan Bank's plan, many employees of Civil Bank have reached the mood of leaving the bank. On the day of the merger, Prawaljung Pandey, the chairman of Civil Bank, requested the management of Himalayan not to discriminate against civil employees. However, employees say that Himalayan Bank treats civil bank employees as second class.

Rayamajhi Popua has been appointed as the Chief Risk Officer of The Teacher Savings and Loan Society (Tisa) Bank in New Guinea. He will work as Chief Risk Officer in Tisa Bank from this August 10th. Rayamazhi has 2 and a half decades of banking experience in half a dozen banks including Nepal Bangladesh, Nepal Rastra Bank, Prabhu, Himalayan and Mega and Civil.
