Kathmandu. Commercial banks have spent up to 56 percent salary with bonus for employees. Standard, Global IME, Nabil, Everest and Sanima Bank are among those who spend a lot on employee salary facilities. These banks are going to give more than 30 percent bonus on the expenses of their employees.

According to the financial statements of the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year 2079/80 published by the banks, 46 billion 41 million 83 lakh 68 thousand rupees have been spent for the employees. It has been seen that banks can give 23.88 percent bonus on the average of staff expenses. Last year, banks have given bonus of 11 billion 865 million 56 thousand rupees to the employees.

Standard Chartered Bank has the highest number of bonuses compared to employee expenses. The bank has made a position to give 56.43 percent bonus of employee expenses last year. During the period under review, the bank has spent 991.7 million 21 thousand rupees for employee expenses. The bank is going to give a bonus of 559.5 million 90 thousand rupees.

Global IME Bank is seen in the second list of banks that give the highest bonus compared to employee expenses. The bank has decided to give a bonus of 37.24 percent of the employee expenses. Last year, Global IME spent 3 billion 15 million 18 thousand rupees for employees. However, the amount allocated for bonus is 1 billion 12 billion 26 lakh 60 thousand rupees.

Nabil Bank is in third place. The bank spent 3 billion 49 crore 43 lakh 96 thousand rupees for employees last year. For bonus, 1 billion 198 million 82 lakh 73 thousand rupees have been left. Nawil has made it possible to give 34.29 percent bonus of employee expenses. Similarly, Everest Bank, which is ranked fourth, spent 1 billion 62 million 73 lakh 34 thousand rupees last year. The bank is going to give 33.10 percent bonus for that cost. The bank is going to give its employees a bonus of 538.5 million 96 thousand rupees.

9 commercial bank have made it possible to give bonuses above 20 percent of the employee expenses. Nepal Investment Mega Bank, formed by merger with former Mega Bank, is going to give 28.80 percent bonus of employee expenses. Last year, the bank spent 2 billion 374 million 89 thousand rupees for employees. Based on this, the bank is going to distribute a bonus of Rs 684.8 million.

Prime Bank, which distributed many bonuses to its employees in the previous years, reached the seventh position. Until a few years ago, Prime gave the highest bonus, but now it has reached the situation of giving 27.13 percent bonus. Last year, Prime spent 1.36 billion 56 lakh 50 thousand rupees for employees. Based on this, the bank has allocated 375 million 18 thousand rupees for bonus this year.

Similarly, Himalayan Bank was able to give 26.78 percent of employee expenses, NMB 24.90 percent, Lakshmi Sunrise 23.91, Rashtriya Commerce 23.31, Siddharth 21.79, Nepal SBI 21.54 and Citizen Bank 21.12 percent. are

Kumari and Prabhu give low bonus: According to last year's financial report, compared to commercial banks, Prabhu and Kumari Banks will give only a lower percentage of bonus to the employee expenses. Prabhu will give 14.46 percent of employee expenses and Kumari Bank will give 14.95 percent bonus. Last year, Prabhu spent 3 billion 13 million rupees for employees.
