The management of Nepal's two major commercial banks, Nabil Bank and Nepal Investment Mega Bank, is now in the hands of eminent, experienced and popular personalities in the banking sector. Gyanendra Prasad Dhungana is leading the management of Nabil Bank as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Jyoti Prakash Pandey has been appointed as the CEO of Nepal Investment Mega Bank. Both are successful managers who have made a successful mark in the banking sector.
Dhungana has been the CEO of Nabil since Ashadh 17, 2079. Dhungana, who has more than 25 years of experience, previously led Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited as the Chief Executive Officer for 10 years. In addition, he has also worked as the General Manager of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank and the Director of Nepal Rastra Bank. Dhungana, who has completed his studies in Chartered Accountancy from India and Certified Public Accountant from Australia and Masters in Financial Analysis, was appointed Manager to Watch by Nepal Management Association in 2013 and Manager to Watch in 2015. Pandey has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the bank for 4 years from 3rd February 2079. Nepal Rashtra Banker worked for a short time at Himalayan Bank for a year. Pandey worked at Nepal Investment Bank before the merger from 2002. Pandey has been in the role of CEO since July 16, 2012. He absorbed Ace Development Bank, Jabils Finance and City Express Finance and successfully merged with former Mega Bank.
