Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank is celebrating the project 'Global Money Week - 2024' in national coordination. Rastra Bank is celebrating Money Week with the main slogan 'Start from youth, strong foundation from savings'.
Money Week is a week-long program related to financial literacy. Global Money Week is celebrated in 109 countries around the world in conjunction with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Rastra Bank's Assistant Information Officer Dr. Bhagwat Acharya informed.
"This is a program of Rashtra Bank to spread financial awareness and banking literacy", Acharya told KTM Bhai, "It will start from today and continue for a week.
According to Acharya, the program will be inaugurated by Rashtra Bank Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari. In which people from different financial sectors will give information about financial awareness.
Under which, with the joint participation of Nepal Rashtra Bank, Insurance Committee, Nepal Securities Board, Department of Cooperatives and National Banking Institute Limited, there will be a financial awareness program in Kathmandu Valley including members of cooperative organizations, share investors, insurance persons and college level students.
In addition, a financial awareness program has been organized in one of the districts outside the Kathmandu valley with the participation of small and micro entrepreneurs, youth involved in foreign employment, teachers and daily wage earners.
