An Overview of NIC Asia Bank Limited
Introduction:
NIC Bank Limited was established on 21st July 1998 AD and on 30th June 2013 AD it merged with Asia Nepal and renamed as NIC Asia bank. After the merger, NIC Asia was recognized as “Bank of the Year 2013-Nepal”by The Banker, Financial Times, UK. This is the second time that the Bank was recognized with this prestigious award, the previous occasion being in 2007.  As the bank has 317  branches, 95 extension counters, 405 branchless bank and 44 branchless, it is one of the largest private commercial bank in terms of balance sheet size, number of branches, ATM network and customer base. The bank successfully completed its 21 years of operation.
