Samata Microfinance Bittiya Sanatha Ltd

About Us Bringing the rural areas into the mainstream of development by reducing the disguised unemployment prevalent in the agriculture sector and creating new employment remains a major challenge. In view of the fact that the prospects for self-employment promotion are limited as the majority of the population does not have necessary access to local skills, capital and technology, it seems desirable to promote productive employment through the development of domestic entrepreneurship by enhancing the access to local skills, capital and technology in agriculture sector. In view of the inability to develop in a reliable manner the agricultural occupation in order to support the agricultural sector, under-employment and disguised employment are still prevalent. Consequently, the agricultural profession has become subsistent, with a low production and low-income occupation in this sector. So, developing the agricultural sector and the various sub sectors remains a challenge in order to address the problems of illiteracy, poverty and malnutrition rampant in Nepal. Idea behind promoting this microfinance is to provide demand driven, locally adaptable and financially sustainable quality microfinance services through focusing on locally viable agriculture production (Cow/buffalo farming, goat farming, poultry, fishery, tobacco leaf, vegetables and high value crops) to increase the income of the poor in the targeted area. We believe that participation of the private sector is essential for increasing outreach and providing quality services to improve the livelihood of poor people who are out of the reach of microfinance services.
