The number of shares traded online has reached 153,500

Kathmandu. Recently, the number of people trading shares online has skyrocketed. In the last one month, more than 33,000 people have taken usernames and passwords to trade shares online. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the number of shares traded online in the first week of last September was 120,000. By the second week of October, this number has increased to 153,515.

Investors can buy and sell shares online, which eliminates the hassle of going to the broker's office and saves time. The online trading system developed by Nepse is not without its problems. However, Nepse is working with long-term thinking for the solution, said Chandra Singh Saud, Chief Executive Officer of Nepse.

Similarly, after the start of online trading, the complaints made by investors to Nepse in the past are now gradually decreasing. In order to make the online share trading developed by Nepse more systematic and strong, it has been stated that priority will be given to hardware in the coming days.

Lately, the Nepse index has reached above 1600 points. The transaction amount is also increasing on a daily basis.

According to Nepse, the number of active share investors is currently around 300,000.
