Nepse index reaches 2600, share turnover of Rs 10 billion

Kathmandu: The Nepse index crossed 2600 points on Tuesday. The index increased by 15.50 points and stopped at 2601.51 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index also increased by 4.09 points and stopped at 473.53 points.

A total of 1,77,32,765 shares of 208 companies have been bought and sold at a price of Rs 10.3 billion. The highest increase in share price was recorded by Chandragiri Hills Limited. The company's share price rose 10 percent to 220. Similarly, the share prices of five companies have risen by more than 9 percent. The biggest gainers are Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited, Mirmire Microfinance Development Bank Limited, Corporate Development Bank Limited, Sunrise First Mutual Fund and Himalayan Energy Development Company Limited.

 The share price of Sadhana Microfinance Financial Institution Limited has declined the most. The company's share price fell 6.15 percent.

The highest turnover was in Navil Bank Limited. Shares of the bank worth more than Rs 544.4 million have been bought and sold. Navil's share price has stood at Rs 1,365.

Of the 12 groups that came into business, the index of 4 groups has increased while the index of the remaining groups has decreased. The banking group grew by 2.08 per cent, the development bank group by 0.24 per cent, other groups by 0.27 per cent and the mutual fund group by 0.88 per cent.
