Kathmandu. Insurance companies have declared dividends for the financial year 2079/080. 6 insurance companies have paid dividends. Out of which 4 are non-life insurance companies and 2 are life insurance companies. So far, Citizen Life Insurance, Reliable Nepal Life, Nepal Insurance, Himalayan Everest Insurance, NLG Insurance and United Ajod Insurance Company have declared dividends. These companies have announced dividends to be distributed to their shareholders from the profits of the last financial year.

Nepal Insurance Company announced 10 percent bonus shares and 0.5263 percent cash dividend for tax purposes for the financial year 2079/80. The said dividend has been passed by the general meeting on January 13th. For the last financial year, the total paid-up capital of 1 billion 49 crore 47 lakh 65 thousand 399.72 rupees will be 10 percent, bonus shares worth 140 million 94 lakh 76 thousand 539 thousand and 97 rupees and 78 lakh 67 thousand will be 0.5263 percent for tax purposes.
