NEPSE index 4.57 points higher at closed 1331.10, Most trading companies

Kathmandu. The last trading of the year on Thursday, the Nepse index closed 4.57 points higher at 1331.10.

In the first 31 minutes of trading, the market fell to 1312 points. The market started rising from 12 noon and reached 1333 points at 12:38. After that, the market closed at 1331.10.

The Sensitive Index has risen by 0.47 points on this day due to some buying pressure in good and strong companies. The float index, which measures overall turnover, rose 0.26 points.

Today, out of 12 sub-groups of Nepse, nine are green and the other three are red.

The life insurance group saw the biggest gain of 70.16 points, followed by the manufacturing and processing group at 35.78 points and the non-life insurance group at 32.1 points. Similarly, it has increased by 4.37 points in development bank group, 0.8 points in hydropower group, 4.83 points in finance group, 5.5 points in other group, 9.53 points in microfinance group and 0.28 points in mutual fund group.

On the same day, the banking group declined by 1.59 points, the business group by 18.8 points and the hotels group by 0.56 points.

Most trading companies

A total of 2,226,203 shares of 178 companies listed in Nepse have been traded at Rs 908,086,197 today.

Shares of Nepal Reinsurance Company were traded a lot on this day. Shares of this company alone were traded for an additional Rs 151.8 million.

Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance has Rs 94.8 million, Neighbor Microfinance Rs 64.1 million, NIC Asia Bank Rs 34.8 million, NMB Bank Rs 27.7 million, Himalayan Distillery Rs 24.2 million and Nabil Bank Rs 22.2 million. Shivam Cement had a turnover of Rs 18 million, Sana Kisan Microfinance Rs 18 million and Surya Life Insurance Rs 17 million.

Too much to gain, too much to lose

Today, the shareholders of Suryodaya Microfinance, NIC Asia Microfinance and Womi Microfinance have earned a lot. The share price of these three microfinance companies rose by an average of about 10 percent.

Shares of Global IME Samuntat Fund Scheme-1 and National Hydropower Company fell the most at around 4 percent today.
