Purna Prasad Acharya appointed CEO of CDS & Clearing

Kathmandu. Purna Prasad Acharya, a former employee of Krishi Vikas Bank, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CDS and Clearing CDSC. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NSE) had called for an application for CEO in its subsidiary CDSC on July 30.

Seven candidates had applied for the vacant post of Chief Executive Officer of CDSC. Acharya, Krishna Giri, Bhishma Chalise, Man Bahadur Khatri, Dinesh Kumar Bartaula, Dilli Prasad Chaudhary and Krishna Lamichhane had applied for the post.

A selection committee was formed for the appointment of Chief Executive Officer under the coordination of Niranjan Phuyal, Deputy Manager of Nepal Stock Exchange Nepse. The committee had recommended the names of three out of six candidates for the post of Chief Executive Officer.

The committee has recommended the names of Krishna Giri, Bhishma Chalise and Purna Prasad Acharya. The Board of Directors of CDSC has appointed Acharya as the Chief Executive Officer out of the three. Earlier, CDSC Chief Executive Officer Dev Prakash Gupta had been without a chief executive since his term ended on September 25.
