Kathmandu: HDFC Bank, the largest private sector bank in India, has earned a net profit of Rs 16,735.50 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year (2024-25). This is 2.2 percent more than the same period last year. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 16,372.54 crore in the same period last year.

The bank's total income increased by 7 percent to Rs 87,460.44 crore in this quarter. Last year, it was Rs 81,719.65 crore. Current account and savings account deposits increased by 6 percent to Rs 81,760 crore.

Although HDFC Bank faced challenges in some areas in this quarter, the stability of loan growth and income growth have reflected its financial strength. The paid-up capital of this bank is Rs 7,648.3 million. The reserve fund has a total of Rs 4,788.66 billion. This bank, which has an earnings per share of Rs 21.90, has a face value of Rs 1.
