Nepse crosses 1600 points, Greenery in  banking sector, NIC Asia and Kumari Bank are top gainer

Kathmandu. The stock market closed higher on the last day of the year, i.e. the last day before the tenth holiday. The Nepse index, which measures share turnover, rose by 8.45 points on Thursday.

The Nepse index has risen to over 1,600.

The transaction amount has reached Rs 1.99 billion, according to the Nepal Stock Exchange.

The four subgroups traded on Nepse have declined. Hotels fell by 14.04 points, hydropower by 6.43 points, life insurance by 10.01 points and mutual funds by 0.06 points. All other subgroups have risen.

Analysts say the attraction of investors towards the bank has skyrocketed after NIC Asia Bank and Kumari Bank announced a surprise dividend to investors from the last financial year's profit between Corona Kahar.

The non-life insurance group has the highest jump of 38.52 points. Production and processing group increased by 29.48 points, banking group 12.1 points, trade group 9.33 points, development bank group 1.71 points, finance group 5.38 points, other group 5.27 points and microfinance group 0. 81 points have risen.

The hotel group saw the biggest decline of 14.04 points. On the same day, the hydropower group declined by 6.43 points, the insurance group by 10.1 points and the mutual fund group by 0.06 points.

Most trading companies

 Kumari Bank had the highest turnover of Rs 141.5 million. NIC Asia Bank had a turnover of Rs 98.5 million, Api Power Rs 88.2 million, Prime Commercial Bank Rs 79.7 million, Nepal Bank Rs 78 million, Global IME Bank Rs 75.5 million and NMB Bank Rs 40 million. The turnover was Rs 9.1 million, General Insurance Rs 48 million, Everest Bank Rs 47.9 million and Citizens Investment Fund Rs 44.9 million.

 The share price of General Insurance and Nepal Finance has risen by an average of 10 percent, leading to a positive circuit.

Mountain Hydro's shareholders lost a lot on this day. The company's share price has fallen about 4 percent.
