Bank of Kathmandu book closing date fixed, When will shareholder to get 16% dividend?

Kathmandu: Bank of Kathmandu general meeting and book closing date has been fixed. A meeting of the bank's board of directors on Thursday decided to hold a meeting on November 30. The meeting will be held through video conference at the Bank's head office in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu. The bank is closing the book for the purpose of the meeting from November 11 to the day of the meeting. The existing shareholders will be able to secure the dividend till October 10.

 At the general meeting, the bank is presenting a major agenda of distributing 16% dividend. The bank has decided to pay 13% bonus and 3% cash dividend including tax from the profit of the fiscal year 2076-77. Therefore, the bank will distribute a bonus of Rs. 1.36 billion 76.95 million. Similarly, cash dividend of Rs. 256.46 million will be distributed.

This dividend will be distributed only after the approval of Nepal Rastra Bank and the upcoming annual general meeting. At present, the paid up capital of Bank of Kathmandu is Rs. 8 billion 546.88 million. After the bonus distribution, the paid up capital will be 9.91 billion 45.82 million 636.
