Kathmandu. Bank of Kathmandu and Himalayan Bank have won the case in China after 8 years. It is said that the Chinese court informed both the banks after winning the case. However, the losing party still has a long way to go to the Supreme Court. 

In addition, Bank of Kathmandu will get back Rs 900 million and Himalayan Bank will get Rs 660 million.

Ashok SJB Rana, CEO of Himalayan Bank, said that the process of bringing back Rs 660 million from Himalayan Bank and Rs 900 million from Bank of Kathmandu for the Melamchi Drinking Water Project has started after winning the case in the Chinese High Court.
