Global Money Week-2025 is scheduled from March 17 to 23, 2025. Themed “Think before you follow, wise money tomorrow”, GMW2025 highlights the importance for young people to develop sound money management skills, recognise emotional triggers, and develop a critical eye towards information sources.

Kathmandu : Nepal Rastra Bank has urged people not to follow viral content while making financial transactions. With the aim of creating financial awareness under the ongoing ‘Global Money Week 2025’, the central bank has urged people to understand the truth and make prudent financial decisions without following viral content among friends and social media.

The Rastra Bank has issued an awareness message with the slogan of Global Money Week 2025 ‘Think Before Follow, Wise Money Tomorrow’ and has also urged people to think before following anyone’s financial advice. ‘Let’s make sure that such financial advice, advice and information are correct and suitable for us’, the message issued by the Rastra Bank states.

This program, which will be celebrated from Chaitra 4 to Chaitra 10, has been celebrated every year since 2012 worldwide in coordination with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Established as a global financial awareness campaign, Global Money Week has so far reached more than 60 million children and youth in 176 countries. In Nepal too, the National Bank has been running this campaign as the national coordinator.
