The bank will get the share broker's license soon - Bankers

Kathmandu. Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions Nepal, an organization of operators of banks and financial institutions, has demanded that banks should be given share broker licenses easily. The confederation has met Finance Minister Bishnu Poudal and made the demand.

A delegation led by confederation president Pawan Kumar Golyan called on Finance Minister Poudel. In view of the current dire situation, Paringha has demanded to work hand in hand with the entire private sector, make arrangements to issue broker licenses to banks through the stock market to mobilize financial resources scattered across the country, convert promoter shares into public shares and impose tax rate on the financial sector like any other business. If conferring broker licenses to banks and financial institutions can be implemented immediately, the hidden capital in 77 districts (at an average rate of Rs 20 million per district) can be integrated into the mainstream and more than Rs 1.5 billion can be brought into the banking system through share transactions in a single day.
